What are general translation services?

General translation services offer standard translations for a very broad spectrum of documents. We can translate any critical or recreational personal or business document. Standard translations do NOT need certification and often don't need notarization either. If your translation does, see our Certified Translation Page for more information, as your needs most likely fall under this category. If your translation doesn't need certification but does need notarization, we can include notary services with your general translation service.

What documents can you translate?

We are specialized professionals who can translate virtually any document you submit to us. Most personal and business documents fall under this category and we don't have a minimum or maximum word count for translations, so no job is too large nor too small! Common orders that we receive for standard translation include, but are not limited to:

• Journals and Diaries, etc.

Can I use machine translation?

While machine translators like Google Translate are a widely available option, they are very limited in their ability to contextualize, interpret and express non-literal language, and localize to cater to a specific region or dialect. Because of these limitations, it is NOT advisable to use machine translators for important or meaningful purposes. A machine translator will not be able to accurately express everything in the source document, especially if it includes slang or heavily regional language, and you aren't likely to get the full picture. In addition, if you are translating emails, messages, letters, or other communications, a machine translation will likely lead to misunderstandings, unintentional offensive language, changed meanings, and may result in legal issues or damaged reputations in some cases, so it is best to leave it to professional humans!
